A Linear Quadratic Integral Controller for PV-Module Voltage Regulation for the Purpose of Enhancing the Classical Incremental Conductance Algorithm

As a result of the exhaustion fossil energy sources and corresponding increase their negative environmental impact, recent research has intensively focused on regions alternative resources and, especially, solar energy. Slow tracking maximum power point (MPP) fluctuations around MPP reduce efficiency photovoltaic generation systems (PV). This study offers novel design for MPPT controller, which we refer to as “hybrid IC-LQI approach”, combines incremental conductance (IC) technique linear quadratic integral (LQI) controller based boost converter’s small signal model. We conduct comparative proposed hybrid IC-LQI, classical one-stage IC in order show effectiveness our proposal under three different scenarios weather conditions load.
